Advanced Shoemaking Workshops

Level Up. This May Be The Start of Your Shoemaking Career.

Not so fast. Our shoemakers have over 40 years’ experience, and it is in practice that they continue to refine their skills, especially to meet peculiar bespoke requests. Nevertheless, the fundamental shoemaking techniques by hand using only very basic tools are timeless and foundational, and it is here at our advanced shoemaking workshops that you will learn these traditional methods. Level up for the real deal.

The Advanced Shoemaking Workshop is a highly hands-on technical workshop. Watch the video for a quick glimpse of what it entails.

Pick from one of the two classic dress-shoe styles of the 18th century – Oxford & Derby. Be guided through the entire process of shoe construction, from the uppers to the soles. Learn the two classic soling techniques Blake Stitch (Single Sole Stitching) and GoodYear Welting (Double Sole Stitching). You’ll use basic shoemaking tools, and learn how to maintain and sharpen them. Upon completing the workshop, you shall be able to construct a pair of wearable shoes.
