In the early 1970s, as Hong Kong’s economy began to take off, the light industry and manufacturing sectors flourished, with numerous factories emerging. At the age of 19, Norman, fresh out of Form Seven, joined a large knitting factory as a salesperson. After gaining experience, he co-founded Nanyang Knitting Factory with his partners. In the early 1980s, they merged to form Wei Xin Limited Company, continuing their knitting business. Over the decades, Norman witnessed Hong Kong companies moving north, south, and to Southeast Asia, and even relocating to Africa, until he stepped back from the forefront five years ago. Currently, he collaborates with two young individuals to establish a shoe stall, combining his experience with the technological advancements of the new generation, aiming to forge a new path together with the youth.
